Building Alabama

Beginning in the spring on 2017, M&D Mechanical began working with EVONIK
and Jedson Engineering on the construction of a new two-story biomedical device laboratory adjacent to Evonik’s existing facility in Birmingham, Alabama.

M&D Mechanical was selected to provide the complete mechanical piping system, controlled HVAC air distribution and full plumbing services for this new state of  the art facility. This new structure for EVONIK will add the capacity to produce bioresorbable polymers for use in medical devices and controlled-release formulations for parenteral drug delivery. The new facility is expected to  be completed early in 2018.
