Construction Begins on Ally Charlotte Center
General contractor Brasfield & Gorrie is beginning construction on one of Charlotte’s most anticipated mixed-use projects, Ally Charlotte Center. Developed by Charlotte-based real estate firm Crescent Communities, this uptown property will house Ally Financial as its anchor tenant.
Crews have mobilized on the project to construct a 26-story, 742,000 sq ft office tower as well as an eight-story parking deck. Future plans for the 3.54-acre property include retail space, a large public plaza, and a hotel to be constructed and owned by White Lodging.
Brasfield & Gorrie is teaming up with Little Diversified Architectural Consulting as the architect-of-record on this project, which is set for completion in 2021. Brasfield & Gorrie has worked in the Charlotte market since 1999 and established a Charlotte office in 2011. In the region, the company has completed 130 projects valued at more than $865 million. Notable projects in the area include the Perimeter Woods Office Building I, an addition to the CaroMont Regional Medical Center Emergency Department and the Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center.
Currently, Brasfield & Gorrie is constructing a number of other projects in Charlotte, including a build-out at the Regions Bank offices in uptown and several projects with Atrium Health, among others. The company recently completed the new AvidXchange office headquarters and the 300-unit Solis Southline apartments.
Brasfield & Gorrie has a long-standing relationship with repeat client Crescent Communities, having completed 25 projects worth a combined $542 million for the real estate company over the last 19 years.
