Alabama 2018 General Contractor’s License Renewal

The Alabama Licensing Board for General Contractors has made some changes to the general contractor’s license renewal process for all 2018 renewals. The 2018 renewal forms will be available online only and will no longer be mailed to licensees. In addition, any renewals submitted more than 45 days prior to license expiration will be returned.

The renewal form requires an audited, reviewed or compiled financial statement prepared by a Certified Public Accountant or a Licensed Public Accountant approved by the Board to be sent along with the completed form. This financial statement must not be more than one year old. The Alabama Department of Transportation Booklet is also acceptable. The form no longer requires a separate notarized accountant’s report.
