Caddell Breaks Ground for New National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Headquarters
The formal Groundbreaking Ceremony for the massive $174MM+ NNSA Headquarters that Caddell will build at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, New Mexico, took place on Monday, July 2. The three-story / 334,000-square foot building will accommodate 1,200 employees and include state-of-the-art offices, data centers, a fitness center, secure areas, and vault-type areas and rooms.
The groundbreaking was attended by Caddell Vice President Bob Nanney and Construction Executive Tyler Stephens who were both invited to man their shovels and officially begin site work for what will be one of the most sophisticated facilities of its kind in the world. Also attending were Caddell Project Manager Steve Durborow; Lisa E. Gordon-Hagerty, DOE Under Secretary for Nuclear Security and NNSA Administrator; U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich; U.S. Representative Michelle Lujan Grisham; Cheree Peterson and Dale Caswell from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; and various other state and local leaders.
