ACT Students Get Life Lesson Series

Workforce Development

Last Thursday, Shades Valley High School Family and Consumer Science Teacher Brittany Bryant visited the Academy of Craft Training to talk with students about essential life skills needed to be successful in life.

During the presentation, students learned about valuable traits that make someone successful (such as resilience, organized, hard worker, etc.), budgeting (fixed and flexible spending) and creating a budget and determining what’s needed versus what’s wanted.

The students will reconvene in nine weeks to cover other essential life skill topics.
