Compete in the 2019 National Craft Championships

Check out what the 2019 National Craft Championships competition has in store at ncc.abc.org. The intent-to-compete deadline is Dec. 10, 2018.

Give your craft trainees an experience of a lifetime by sponsoring them as a competitor in the 2019 National Craft Championships. The competition will be held March 24-28 in Long Beach, California, during ABC Convention 2019. Don’t leave your journeymen home!

The NCC is offering two team competitions for journeymen. The new commercial team competition includes a carpenter, an electrician, a plumber and a sheet metal/HVAC tech. The industrial team competition has been reinvented and now includes a pipefitter, an electrician and an insulator.

For both:
While some competitors may have competed in their craft in a prior National Craft Championships, prior NCC participation is not a requirement.
Competitors may be considered journeymen by their employer and must be employed by an ABC member firm.
A chapter, training sponsor or member firm is welcome to field an entire team, partner with another entity to field an entire team OR sponsor one journeyman competitor, in which case competitors will be assigned to teams on a randomly selected basis.

Some competitions have size limitations, so don’t delay in sending your intent-to-compete forms. Competitors may be sponsored by an ABC chapter, ABC “chapter-approved” training sponsor or by an ABC member firm.
