New ANSI Standards for Aerial Work Platforms

Date: Tuesday, March 12, 2019
Time: 11 a.m. ET
Length: 60 Minutes
Speakers:    Rick Smith, Senior Director, Global Product Training, JLG Industries

WEBINAR DESCRIPTION
The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) creates standards that govern the design and use of aerial work platforms across North America. New ANSI standards for the U.S. were published in December 2018 and become effective in December 2019. The industry now has less than one year to become compliant with the new ANSI standards.

Everyone associated with aerial work platforms will be impacted by the new standards. Owners, operators, occupants, supervisors, manufacturers, dealers, and people that rent aerials will need to make changes in the areas of training, job site safety, and machine selection to accommodate the new standards.

There are three new ANSI standards that cover machine design, safe use, and training. Machine Design standards (A92.20) govern the design, safety requirements and testing of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs). Safe Use standards (A92.22) govern the application, maintenance, and safe operation of MEWPs. Training standards (A92.24) govern training requirements, topics, and methods for MEWPs. The impact of each of these standards on MEWP users and operators will be covered in this webinar.

How to self-fund employee benefits with prevailing wage plans

Date: Wednesday, March 20, 2019
Time: 11 a.m. ET
Length: 60 Minutes
Speakers:    Nat Peniston

WEBINAR DESCRIPTION

Providing self-funded health benefits to an hourly and geographically dispersed workforce requires a unique approach that integrates enrollment, ongoing eligibility management, premium collection and compliance. Self-funding has many positives, such as reducing costs and increasingly plan flexibility, but it is not a solution for all contractors. This Webinar will help participants learn key points on when (or if) a self-funded plan should be considered. The Contractors Plan possesses unique administrative capabilities and processes designed specifically for multi-location construction contractors that facilitate enrollment and ongoing administration.

Certified Payroll and Fringe Benefits – Making life easy for staff and employees

Date: Wednesday, April 24, 2019
Time: 11 a.m. ET
Length: 30 Minutes
Speakers:    Nat Peniston & Steve Antill

WEBINAR DESCRIPTION

Learn ways leading employers are significantly reducing the time spent on payroll and the administration of employee benefit programs while reducing errors and enhancing compliance and effectiveness. Traditional payroll companies are not built with the unique needs of contractors in mind and can struggle with common tasks such as submitting certified payroll reports and prevailing wage calculations. Growing construction firms that leverage systems and processes designed to meet multiple jurisdictional requirements (multiple county prevailing wage rates for example) are better able to compete and win more business.
