Weinberg Wheeler Hudgins Gunn & Dial Continues Alabama Expansion
WWHGD recently expanded its Birmingham presence in two acquisitions, including a merger with the boutique litigation firm of Richardson Clement. Jonathan Head opened the office in 2018 and Stephen A. Walsh joined as partner in March of 2019. The newest expansion with Richardson Clement moved the firm’s office location within the Meadowbrook area, and reaffirmed its commitment to serving the growing needs of Highway 280 and the greater Shelby County area. “I am thrilled to be back home after a stint in Florida, and to join forces with my law school classmate Stephen Walsh and veteran litigator Wade Richardson,” Head said. “With this expansion we can serve not only all construction industry needs, but all business litigation and most business advice needs. Our team can now bring significant scale to the litigation we handle.”
Having worked in small, medium, and large firms in Alabama, and having served as chief legal officer for a national General Contractor, Jonathan’s practice focuses on making sure contractors get paid for their work. He handles all facets of transactional and litigation practices for the construction industry.
Stephen Walsh has represented a wide variety of industries in both business and litigation matters, including commercial contracts, banking, real estate, and employment and professional liability claims. Walsh has extensive experience counseling financial services companies, manufacturers, construction companies, and engineering firms during the procurement and contract negotiation stages.
Wade Richardsonhas more than 30 years of experience as a trial attorney and has tried countless high-risk cases to successful verdicts. He has represented clients in tort and business litigation matters, including copyright, trademark and other intellectual property disputes, product liability, fraud, business competition and dissolution claims.
This merger also brings on David E. Malick join WWHGD as partner, and John Walter and Shara G. Haden as associates. David Malick represents employers and companies in defense, including managing an international trademark portfolio, copyright matters for a major manufacturer, and resolving disputes through ICANN’s Uniform Dispute Resolution Policy. John Walter focuses his practice on litigation, including representing corporate clients in negotiating shareholder agreements, drafting commercial contracts, and serving as counsel in business litigation. Shara Haden represents individuals and businesses in trial and appellate litigation.
“As the firm prepares to celebrate its 20th anniversary, we are thrilled to continue our expansion into the Birmingham market and excited about our merger with RichardsonClement,” said David Dial, managing partner of Weinberg Wheeler Hudgins Gunn & Dial. The firm has been a proud Associate Member of ABC Alabama since it opened the Birmingham office.
