Message from the President
From ABC of Alabama President Jay Reed
As we turn the page and move to the second half of 2019, I wanted to make you aware of some very important events and changes that have occurred over the last few months with ABC of Alabama. This blog is dedicated to providing you that information. As a member, I encourage you to forward this information to others in the industry that might be interested in a synopsis of what is happening at your association.

The Academy of Craft Training (ACT) is excited to announce that it has 240 students starting the program this school year.
This past school year (2018-2019), more than 90 ACT graduates accepted job offers with various Alabama contractors.

Workers Comp Update
First and foremost I hope you’ve heard by now that our association formed a partnership with the AL Self Insured Workers Compensation Fund. This is a unique opportunity for ABC members to access a members-only rate. For more details, feel free to contact ABC.
Work Comp Seminar
ABC’s Board of Directors and Safety Committee recently announced an upcoming continuing education opportunity that is specifically designed to understanding your company’s experience modification rate (EMR). We have assembled a professional team to take a one-day deep dive into the impact your EMR has on your company’s bottom line. To sign up for the event, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
ABC of Alabama’s latest program is Constructa-Care, a turn-key insurance program that helps the association’s member companies and their families by improving the cost and benefits associated with health insurance. Participants with Constructa-Care can expect lower fees, premiums or claims, improved benefit offerings, transparency to cost and clinical data and effective resources and strategies for risk reduction. For more information, contact ABC.
