Turner Hosts Graduation Ceremony

Building Alabama

Turner Construction Company’s Memphis office recently held a graduation ceremony for its first advanced-level Turner School of Construction Management class. Shelby County Commissioner Van D. Turner Jr. attended the Oct. 31 ceremony and gave an address to the graduates.

Turner’s advanced-level School of Construction Management class is intended for the owners of small, disadvantaged, minority-owned, women-owned and veteran-owned businesses who have previously graduated from the regular Turner School of Construction Management course.
During the advanced course, students took a deep dive into subjects including pre-construction and estimating, learning how to make their companies more visible to larger contractors and be more competitive for winning subcontracts. They also enhanced their managerial, technical and administrative expertise and further developed their relationships with Turner.
